During his Sunday performance at Rolling Loud, rapper DaBaby stunned many fans and celebrities with the controversial comments that he made.
These inappropriate and unprovoked comments took jabs at members of the LGBTQ+ community as well as those who have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS.
Dua Lipa has expressed her shock and disappointment in DaBaby’s horrible remarks. The two artists have recently collaborated on the song “Levitating.”
“I’m surprised and horrified at DaBaby’s comments. I really don’t recognise this as the person I worked with. I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100% with the LGBTQ community.”

To make matters worse, the “VIBEZ” rapper also brought artist Tory Lanez out on stage with him as a guest during his Rolling Loud performance. This also raised eyebrows as rapper Megan Thee Stallion had performed right before DaBaby. Megan Thee Stallion has a restraining order against Tory Lanez which states that he cannot be within 100 feet of the Houston rapper. Megan was said to be backstage during this surprise appearance as she had finished her set shortly before. It is said that Lanez went backstage after his performance meaning he could have violated the restraining order.

Following the Rolling Loud performance and cruel remarks, DaBaby posted apology videos to those who he offended that can be seen below.
Many who have seen the apology aren’t being very receptive to it. It seems that the apology only came out as a result to protect his image, not because the rapper was genuinely apologetic.
Despite the apologies made, DaBaby has now lost the clothing line with boohooMan as a result of his comments according to HotNewHipHop.
Below is a clip from DaBaby’s Rolling Loud performance where he made homophobic and inappropriate comments. *TRIGGER WARNING: things said in the video clip can be seen as offensive or triggering.*
